ELIGIBILITY
Eligible recipients include members of the public safety community — including fire, EMS, law enforcement, telecommunicators/dispatch, and emergency management — as well as their immediate families.
The Foundation may also consider assistance for other applicants who, in the judgment and discretion of the Board, demonstrate circumstances or hardships consistent with the Foundation’s mission and charitable purpose.
TIERED ASSISTANCE
Tier 1 – Severe Hardship Assistance
For line-of-duty death, critical line-of-duty injury, catastrophic loss, or other extraordinary circumstances approved by the Board.
Tier 2 – Emergency Financial Assistance
For substantial but non-catastrophic hardship including major medical events, significant loss of income, or similar urgent needs.
Tier 3 – General Hardship Assistance
For temporary or situational financial difficulties not meeting Tier 1 or Tier 2 criteria but warranting charitable support.
Tier 4 – Scholarship Assistance
For educational, certification, or training opportunities approved by the Board.
Scholarships may be awarded to public safety personnel, their families, or other applicants approved based upon eligibility status.
